Overview
A plain-language summary of what this site collects, what it doesn't, and how to reach me if anything looks off. It's operated by MichaelHodor.
What we collect
When you buy a product, your email address and purchase details are collected so I can send you the product and licence key (if any), and provide support if something goes wrong.
Downloading a free tool collects just your email address, for the same reason — disclosed on the download form itself before you submit it. If you email support directly, I keep that thread.
Cookies
Vercel Analytics (basic visit counts) and the Meta Pixel (so Facebook/Instagram ads can be measured) run automatically for most visitors, the same way most websites work — no popup, no click needed. Depending on where you're visiting from, you may instead see a small banner first, with nothing running until you tap Accept. Anyone, from anywhere, can permanently turn this off at mhplugins.net/dnt — that always wins, even over a past Accept. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies needed to process a payment securely, regardless of that choice, since that part is essential to actually buying something.
How we use information
Purchase details and email addresses are used to deliver what you bought, provide support, and — only if you opted in at checkout or on the download form — send occasional release emails. Analytics and the Meta Pixel are used to see how the site is doing and whether an ad actually led to a sale or a free download, unless tracking has been turned off (see Cookies above).
Sharing
Payment is processed entirely by Paddle.com, who collect and store your billing details as the merchant of record — I never see your card information. Delivery emails are sent through Resend. The site itself is hosted on Vercel. If you buy something, or download the free tool, and tracking hasn't been turned off, your email address (in a scrambled, one-way form it can't be read back from), along with your IP address and browser type, is shared with Meta — the address and browser type are sent as-is, the way ad platforms require for matching — so a Facebook or Instagram ad can be credited with the result. I don't sell your information to anyone.
Retention
Purchase and licence records are kept as long as needed for support and for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing list emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics and ad-tracking data (unless tracking was turned off — see Cookies above) follows Vercel's and Meta's own retention periods.
Your choices
Turn tracking off any time at mhplugins.net/dnt — that works no matter where you're visiting from, and overrides even a past Accept. Depending on your location, you may also see a banner offering the same choice up front, before anything runs. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link that never affects access to anything you've already bought or downloaded. You can also ask what data I hold about you, or ask to have something removed, at any time — just email hey@mhplugins.net and I'll sort it out. Some information (like completed purchase records) may need to be kept for tax purposes even after a removal request.
